About

LÄSK is a Malmö-based production company founded in 2010 by producer Erik Andersson and director Frida Kempff. The company was established following Kempff’s short documentary Bathing Micky, winner of the Prix du Jury at Cannes.

LÄSK develops and produces director-driven fiction films that combine strong authorship with a bold approach to genre. The company's films have premiered at Cannes, Sundance, Venice, Toronto and Göteborg, and have received multiple Guldbagge Awards.

Working at a deliberately small curated scale, LÄSK collaborates closely with filmmakers from early development through financing and international positioning, with a clear focus on major international festivals and long-term artistic partnerships.
